IMPORTANT! AMA ANNUAL MINOR RELEASE!
Starting last year, 2025, an annual AMA Minor Release must be on file with the AMA and the card must be provided to the RMRA prior to being eligible for membership.
(Please note, these need to be done each new calendar year. Even if you have one on file for 2025, you must provide a new one for 2026.)
YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE AMA MEMBERSHIP NUMBER FOR THIS.
If you do not have an AMA membership then please complete that first before completing the minor release. Once you have an active 2026 AMA membership, please go to: https://americanmotorcyclist.com/racing/racing-resources/annual-release/
and select the MINOR release that applies to your familial situation.
You will receive an email acknowledging the submission of the minor release form immediately – THIS IS NOT WHAT WE NEED! PLEASE DO NOT SEND THIS!
In a few days after submission you will receive an email with a digital card attached that looks like this:
<—THIS IS WHAT WE NEED! SEND THIS!
Please forward that digital card to admin@rmra.racing or secretary@rmra.racing
Once we receive the card, we will acknowledge it in email response and file it for the 2026 season. ONLY THEN will you be eligible for a 2026 RMRA Membership. YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL NOT BE FINALIZED UNTIL THIS CARD IS RECEIVED. Please make sure that you also have access to this digital card at each event.
In addition to having an annual AMA Minor release on file and proof thereof, ALL minors attending an RMRA event without their parent/guardian MUST HAVE a notarized letter signed by their legal parent/guardian granting permission for the named party, who is at the event with them, to have sole guardianship and responsibility for the minor for said event. The minor will NOT be allowed to race without this AND an AMA Annual Release on file.
If you have ANY questions at all regarding this please don’t hesitate to reach out to secretary@rmra.racing
